Please excuse my lack of presence over the last couple of days.  I’ve become lost in Panem and hope to return shortly.  Meanwhile, have a great rest of the weekend!

I finished The Hunger Games yesterday and now I’m halfway through Catching Fire. My book club is reading the trilogy for our next meeting. Luckily, I had an extra long weekend this weekend, so I’m hoping I can finish them all by tomorrow night. Then I have to finish In the Shadows. 🙂

It’s really good so far – you’ll like it. We bought a box set for Miss Tadpole last Christmas and she let me borrow them. I’ve done nothing but read all weekend; it’s been lovely! 😀

It really is! Of course, I’m overly prone to guilt, so I feel bad about not getting anything done but a load of dishes, but these books are just impossible to put down. 😀

Thanks. I haven’t done something like that in ages – I started Mockingjay about 11:30 p.m. last night and finished it around 9:30 a.m. this morning. I just couldn’t stop turning those pages!

It sure is! I hope by the time I finish my own trilogy that they’ll be as gripping as The Hunger Games. I’m having a serious book hangover/withdrawal. To treat it, I’m watching the movie with the kids. 😀

Lol, I must say, I really enjoyed Lindsey’s Vortex, I actually re-read that, which I only do on books I really love, and did it just before I read the Hunger Games and thought, even though it’s different, it held up very well by comparison! So…The Lokana Chronicles could be up there too, you never know? I’d love my trilogy to be as memorable too, just need to get back to writing Book 2. 😉

Vortex was really good, wasn’t it? I have so many books to read that I haven’t had time to reread it, although at the rate I’m going, I’ll probably need to read it again before I read Wicked Game. Vortex is as good as any book I’ve read and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series. Incidentally, I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy of White Mountain, either. Too bad I wasn’t Johnny on the spot before, or I wouldn’t have to wait! 😀

I’m with you, though – I need to get back to writing. I’ve been awful about it lately, and I’d been doing so well on my revisions. *sigh* Oh, well. I just need a week or two to myself, I think, and then I could probably fix a good chunk of what needs fixing. 🙂
