Suddenly they all died. The end. 
Old Man Winter and I are no longer friends. Today, we’re up in the forties (after a brief snow shower this morning) and tomorrow we’re nearing fifty degrees. Then, on Wednesday, Old Man Winter is supposed to strike again with massive snow. But Spring is around the corner. I can feel it.

Same here – yesterday we were in the forties, and now today we’ve crept into the fifties. It’s supposed to cool down a little tomorrow, I think, but I’m just happy that the snow is melting and the temperature is above zero.
Although, I have to say – eating lunch in my car with the windows down this noon was fan-freaking-tastic. 😀

Our snow is melting slowly, but we’ve still got about two feet in our front yard where it’s shaded. I would expect all of it to melt by April, but what do I know?

Sounds like our yard, although I hate to think how long it’ll take everything to melt out at our new house. We just bought a tractor to keep the driveway cleared out and it’s finally snow-free (or at least as snow-free as he could get it). I won’t be sorry to see it all go, but I do hope it doesn’t decide to go visit my basement.
At this point, I’ll take all the heavenly-ness I can get. 😀

I know that come late July, I’ll be wishing for a cold snap again, but right now, this warm air feels absolutely divine. I’m glad it’s springy in your neck of the woods, too! 🙂

It was lovely here yesterday, I was out in a t shirt but this morning it was rather brisk and old man winter was definitely sticking his toes in and refusing to go to bed by the afternoon. I love that in January the birds start to sing louder, the days get longer and the bulbs start to peep through the soil. Then I’m pretty much set until about May, when it’s colder than it should be and all the bad things happen. June is always colder than it should be and then there’s all the excitement in July, are we going to have a summer this year or is it just going to carry on raining?

Our bulbs and things don’t start peeking up till toward the end of March and into April. Winter here is a long, cold, dreary affair, though I think November might have February beat in terms of dreariness. Of course, summer is a long, hot, miserable affair, but right now, who’s thinking about how bad the heat and humidity will be in a few short months? Not me, that’s for sure. 😀

We’re lucky in England. In the winter we still have colour – not much admittedly.

Oh, we have color. Of course, said colors are brown and gray and white, and all are in plentiful supply, especially now that the snow’s melting (finally).

We haven’t had as much as some years – 2007 was particularly icy and 2008 was particularly snowy – but I won’t miss any of it.

I do sort of miss the snow, but as I haven’t got skis any more, and furthermore no longer live in the Arctic, I don’t miss it that much.

I couldn’t handle the downhill rubbish – I’d be afraid to try anything else, what with being a pansy and all. Although now I think about it, it seems to me that we did a cross country ski unit one time in gym class. If I didn’t hate the cold so much (and if I was in better shape), that might be okay. 🙂
