As I drove home from work last night, I found myself thinking about this week’s photo challenge and what I could possibly post that was even remotely dreamy.
I know exactly what I would post if I were, say, fifteen years younger (cue pictures of Leonardo DiCaprio, Ryan Gosling, Nick Carter, and JC Chasez).

Mmm, dreamy. 🙂
But I digress. 🙂
See, I have this thing for sunsets. And the fields that surround my home. Seymour finds the landscape boring, but I can’t get enough – I drink it in like nectar, and last night, the nectar was particularly sweet:
The sun melted through the clouds like a pat of butter on a pile of mashed potatoes, and it was so gorgeous that I had to pull over and capture it. It was just too beautiful. My one disappointment is that the foreground is so dark, because the beans in this picture were a beautiful russet. I’ve been trying to capture that color for the last few weeks with no luck.
That bean field is gone now; the farmers were out harvesting its bounty all day today. But that melted-butter sun? That’s mine forever. 🙂

Wonderful Kay! And a beautiful analogy of the sun being like melted butter. 🙂

I may or may not have been a bit hungry when I wrote that. 🙂 But melty just fits it.

Leonardo doesn’t do it for me. Maybe Seven of Nine.
Lovely shot as always.

Seven of Nine IS a beauty, I’ll grant you that. But she’s only got eyes for Chakotay, last time I checked. 😉 😀

That’s because she hasn’t met me. I’m an alien according to my daughter.
