One of the things I love about fall is the profusion of color. From fiery reds to golden oranges, color abounds.
I found these late blooms among the changing leaves at the courthouse today as I ran errands at work. I loved these flowers in the spring, when their golden yellow blooms were like little spots of sunshine on a cloudy day, and I couldn’t help thinking of them the same way today. As beautiful as they are in the spring, when they pop against the deep green of their leaves, they were just as beautiful today against the backdrop of green and gold.

Thanks! It took a bit of trial and error to get the background just right – my camera kept focusing on the background and blurring the flowers. Silly camera. 🙂
