Photo 365 #97: The natural world

Living in a rural area is nothing if not fantastic for capturing wonderful moments in the life cycle of nature.  As evidenced by my deep and abiding love for skyscapes, I’ve got no shortage of inspiration for nature-based images.  And since it’s hard for me to choose just one, here are several!

These are only a handful of the nearly two thousand pictures I’ve taken of the world around me this year alone.  I feel blessed to live in such a beautiful place.

Sadly, yes. I woke up yesterday to a bit of snow, and this morning there was more. We’ve been getting flurries off and on all day, which I find completely unacceptable. But then, I’d be happy if it snowed on December 24 and then melted away on December 26, never to bother us again (till the next year, anyway).

I don’t miss it, but it’s awful ick-looking out there at the moment. I could do with a bit of snow to cover up the ugly, but no more.

On the other hand, I’m really enjoying the lovely warm temperatures, and they’re not conducive to snow.

I hear you. My view of snow is that there should be lots or none at all. Here in Bury we tend to get about half an inch sprinklings while people as close as three miles out of town get four inches. I reckon it’s the sugar beet factory and there’s a big brewery in town, too. All that hot smoke must have some effect. 😉

        Cheers
