Last night we had our first major snow storm in a while.
We were supposed to get five to nine inches, but from the looks of things, we got less than half that. Still, the wind has been wicked. I hate to think what the drifts are like out there.
But it’s okay – this has been the perfect weekend for snuggling up under a blanket with a good book and a cup of tea. 🙂

Im about 40 miles west of Chicago! 19 inches here!!

That is crazy! We drove up to Rochester today and they had a lot less snow up there than we did down here in Iowa. This has been the weirdest winter.

We’ve had a week of snow. The kids are enjoying the days off, though.

Yuck. This is the first snow we’ve had in a long time, so my husband was pretty excited. He was a little upset that we didn’t get more, but we had to drive to Minnesota today and the roads were crappy enough as it was.

Looks like we got about 16 inches here. Can’t say I’m a fan.

That makes two of us, although at least the yard looks pretty again. We only got about six inches here, and there were places where you could still see the grass in our yard, though just barely. My in-laws live south of us, though, and they got fourteen inches. Yuck.
