Somehow, I managed to mess up my subscription to The Daily Post. I have no idea how that happened (it’s fixed now!), but I’m rather upset about it because it means I missed the notice about the new Writing 201 course, which is focused on poetry. Some of the other bloggers I follow are participating, but for whatever reason, I just didn’t put it together that this was a thing (probably because this has been a heck of a week), and now it’s too late to sign up.
But why let a little thing like that stop me?
Now that I know about this, I’m going to participate anyway, even if I don’t get to join in all the Commons-y fun. So starting tomorrow, I’ll be playing catch-up with the poetry fun and sharing my own compositions. With my new poetry collection in the final stages of preparation, I’m really feeling the poetry vibe this week, and what better way to escape formatting hell than by writing new poems?
I hope you’ll stay tuned. It’s gonna be a great time. And for anyone participating in Writing 201 who finds their way here, welcome! I can’t wait to get to know you all. 🙂

Oh, I will. I ordered the proof copy today, and it should be here in a week or so. I’m planning a March release. 🙂

Thanks! I can’t believe I missed the announcement, but I’m happy to participate even unofficially. 🙂 I’ve been working on the first four prompts all afternoon, and they’ve been a huge challenge, but loads of fun! 🙂
