Today we revisit the summer of 2003, when I worked for the Reinbeck Courier with my bestest bud and was expecting a bubbly arrival:
Here we are, dancing in the street as the first rain we’d had in a good month or so fell freely from the sky. It was a beautiful day, and unbeknownst to us (at the time), our boss was watching from the window, camera in hand. This picture ran on the front page. We laughed.
Man, I had a good time that summer. It’s hard to beat doing a job you love with awesome people.
And nothing beats a good rain dance. 🙂
Don’t forget to check out Charnele’s throwback post! 🙂
Have you ever danced in the rain (literally, as above, or figuratively)?

I used to love dancing until my then girlfriend announced one night in a club that I danced like Quasimodo with a limp. A bit harsh I thought.

I love dancing, but I always worry I look like an idiot. Seymour enjoys dancing, too, but we don’t do as much of it as we’d like. When the kids are a little older, I’d like to take dance lessons and maybe go to dances (if we can find any around here).

I haven’t danced for over thirty years but if I ever get the chance I’d love to learn the tango. It’s so elegant when it’s done correctly.

Agreed. I’d like to learn them all – Seymour can two-step, but I have no idea how, which led to some small comedy the last time we tried to go to a barn dance. 🙂

This is great.
I never really dance anywhere. I wish I did. I just get too into my own head. It is my downfall 🙂

Seymour has a huge family, and there’ve been quite a few weddings lately, so we dance then, but my downfall is that I worry I look like an idiot. 🙂
