So today was crazy! I had my first book signing at Smith’s General Store in the morning, and it was a lot of fun. I only sold three books (five if you count the two I sold on Wednesday), but it was still a lot of fun. And we’re talking about doing another one in November during the town’s annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony, where hopefully I’ll do even better.
Woo!
The fun continued in the afternoon with the Tama County Fair Rabbit Show. Miss Tadpole and Bubbles showed their rabbits, Oreo and Midnight, and both earned blue ribbons. That makes a clean sweep for both of them – seven projects and seven blue ribbons between the two of them. Talk about excited kiddoes! 🙂
They were pretty nervous about the rabbit show, but they both did fine. And when it was over, Miss Tadpole decided she wanted to do it again next year. 🙂
Do your kids take part in county fairs? What kinds of things do they like to show?

I hope you sell thousands.

Aw, thanks, Roger! I hope so, too, but I tried to keep my expectations realistic yesterday. It was hot, humid, and rainy, so I didn’t expect a huge turnout…and I didn’t get one, either. Still, selling some is better than selling nothing, right?
