All the little things; it lies in a
Glance, a kiss, a touch.
In the eyes of a
Child, magic lies everywhere.

Beautiful sentiments. I identify with the feelings very much.
If I may suggest something, I would remove the phrase “magic lies everywhere” and leave it with the power of the child. πŸ™‚ just an idea πŸ™‚

Simple Powerful Beautiful and True. Its amazing how 25 words can make me feel so many things. Your poem evokes great love and happiness but also a bit of sorrow. I never met the one. I don’t have children. I didn’t want to have them alone. I taught pre-school many years ago and what I loved most about it was seeing that untouched magic in children’s eyes. That beautiful time in their lives when they only see beauty, wonder and good in all. Oh if we could only bottle it and rain it on the world. Really great poem. Thank you!

Wow! I’m so glad you enjoyed this. I understand why you wouldn’t want to have children alone. I was a single parent for a few years, and I feel like one at the moment (hubby’s away on business during the week). It’s hard.

The look in a child’s eye when they discover something new is absolutely one of my favorite parts of parenthood, though. There’s simply nothing like it. πŸ™‚
