Howdy! Did you have a nice Christmas? Are you all recovered from the hustle and the bustle? Or could you have used another day in your weekend?
Lord knows I could have. I spent Christmas with a migraine of epic proportions, and the day after wasn’t a whole lot better (though it did involve a Star Wars marathon, and really the only thing better than that is a Star Trek marathon, or possibly a JAG marathon). Thank goodness I was feeling better yesterday; though I still wasn’t back to my usual self, it was a definite improvement over the previous two days.
I had planned to do a bunch of reading over the long weekend, and while I did do some reading, I didn’t do as much as I had planned. I’ll be making up for it this week, though, and I’ll be sharing my thoughts on what I’m reading right here, so stay tuned!
And now, to bed. It’s warm in bed. It’s not warm outside. Winter appears to have struck at last, and now I must go hide. 🙂
Has winter struck where you live yet?

Sounds as if you had a fab time. Anyone who is happy to sit through a JAG fest has got to be the best. Love that series. So onwards and upwards for 2016 Kay, have a fab year (and your family too), been wonderful ‘knowing’ you here. I look forward to many more such moments of togetherness here. 🙂 xx

We were marathoning the series this fall, up until Seymour took an out-of-town assignment for work. We stopped partway through season 6, and I’m getting antsy to get back to it. 🙂
Have a great 2016 yourself, Jane! I’m glad you like it here – blogging friends rock. 🙂

It was nice! Except for the migraine, which seems to be coming back. Ugh. I hope you have a fabulous new year, too! Do you have any big plans, or do you keep it low-key?

how can you say Star Trek and Jag in the same sentence? I’ll stick with Counsellor Troy.

Um, because they’re both good shows? Unless we’re talking about the reboot. I can enjoy that only so long as I remind myself that it’s not really Star Trek. And after what happened with the new Star Wars movie, even Bubbles is upset with J.J. Abrams.

What happened with Star Wars? Am I going to be upset? Cinema tickets are expensive over here.

Possibly. Seymour took the kids to see it on Christmas night, but I was at home with a migraine, so I haven’t seen it yet. Bubbles was not a fan of what happens at the end. It’s a week later now and he’s still so mad that last night he told me there are only six Star Wars movies.

I’ll take it as bad then and wait for it to come on Sky. It used to take five years but now only about one.

That might be best. Darn J.J. Abrams, anyway.
