Home

I didn’t know
How much I’d missed you
Until you came back home.
I didn’t know
How hard ‘twould be
Again upon my own.

The lonely days,
The endless nights,
The stresses brought to bear…
I didn’t know
If I could make it
Through without a care.

But I made it through,
And now you’re home;
A million tiny worries are at an end.
For you are home,
Safe and sound,
And I am happy now again.
