Bliss

My bliss lies in writing. I love it – I can’t get enough of it.

So many irons in the fire...

So many irons in the fire…

No, really. When I haven’t written in a while, I start getting really cranky. Ask my family.

Of course, that also extends to times where I’m not writing as much as I’d like, or times where extracting the story from my brain is like extracting a particularly difficult wisdom tooth, or times where editing is kicking my butt six ways from Sunday…

Still, writing (and editing, I suppose) is my bliss. What’s yours?

Yep, me too! Except I have a husband who ALWAYS wants to talk when I’m on a roll, wordswise 😀 I think he gets used to me answering him at random and saying ‘wut?’ every time I realise he’s stopped talking 😀

Same here! Or when I’m in the mood to write, he’s in the mood for a movie marathon. I have to admit, though, that the occasional weekend movie marathon is really, really exquisite – we’re so busy with the kids and work and family stuff that sometimes it’s nice to take a weekend (this weekend) off and say the heck with it. 🙂

That said, I’m currently hiding in my room with my WIP while our boys watch Land Before Time, so I guess I’m not being completely unproductive. And binge-watching TV and movies counts as studying stories, right? Because I totally picked apart Air Force One when we watched that, and I spent the morning doing something similar with Bones. So really, I’m being quite productive this weekend… 😀
