I’m inspiring – Part II

Hi there, folks!  How’s it going?  I hope you’re all keeping warm.  Iowa is currently back in the deep freeze after a lovely thaw.  I have to admit, that week of 40-degree days was lovely.  I really do live in the wrong state when it comes to winter.

But that’s not what I meant to write about tonight.  In the space of a couple hours earlier today, I was nominated for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award twice!  I was nominated for this award back in August and if you’d like to see what I had to say then, you can find the post here.  I’ve spent the last hour or so trying to decide if I should do it again, but since two people were nice enough to nominate me, I decided, what the heck?  Why not?

VeryInspiringBlogAwardSo, without further ado, many thanks to the lovely Tricia Drammeh and Maegan Provan, who were kind enough to nominate me.  Tricia is a wonderful writer and it is a privilege to know her – if you’re not already following her, you should be!  And Maegan is a new follower here, one I’m sure I will enjoy getting to know.  Thank you for the love, ladies!

And now, without further ado,

Another award!

I’ve been nominated for the One Lovely Blog Award again!  This time I was nominated by Rooster Lady Sister, a most interesting character.  As always, I’m flattered to receive such an award, but since I was nominated for the same award by our mutual friend Lindsey just a month ago, I’m going to let that post do double duty.  So if you would like to read my seven random facts, you can find them here, along with the people I nominated when I initially received the award.

And now, back to the grindstone.  I’ve got the day off of work, but I’m working hard on The Lokana Chronicles: Fog of War.  Or at least I would like to be – I keep getting distracted by other things that also need doing.  If anyone has a spare time turner, I’d really appreciate it if you could lend it to me for…um…a period of time that has yet to be determined.  I’ve got a crap-ton of stuff to get done. 🙂

I’m lovely!

As I was slaving over a hot stove preparing supper for the horde of hungry menfolk clamoring for food just outside my kitchen tonight (okay, okay, Seymour and the boys don’t exactly count as a horde of hungry men, but in a couple of years, I’m sure the boys alone will), I learned that my good friend Lindsey (whom I would like to thank profusely once again) had nominated me for the One Lovely Blog Award.  So, without further ado, ze rules:

  • Include the blog award logo in your post – check
  • Thank the person who nominated you – double check
  • Provide seven random facts about yourself – check again (see below)
  • Nominate seven other blogs and let them know – alrighty then!

The Facts, Ma’am, Just the Facts

  • I have a terrible memory and it’s getting worse.  If I don’t write things down, I don’t remember them.  Unfortunately, sometimes I remember that I need to write something down, only to forget what that something was!

More stuff and such this way!

I’m inspiring – who knew?

Rumor has it that I’m inspiring.  At least that’s what Lindsey Parsons says, because she’s nominated me for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award.  Since I’ve received a few of these now over the last couple of months, I think you all know the drill, but in case you don’t:

Ze Rules

  1. Thank the blogger who nominated you. (I’ve done this profusely, as I’ve done with every other award.)
  2. Share seven things about yourself. (See below.)
  3. Nominate other bloggers you think deserve the award, and post on their blog to let them know they’ve been nominated. (See below the below.)

My Seven Things

  1. adore Italian food.   Can’t get enough of it.

Award season continues

My friend Kina has been inundated with awards lately.  As such, she put together a massive awards post yesterday and invited readers to select an award from her long list of accolades.  In keeping with her idea of awarding yourself and paying it forward, I selected the Fabulous Blog Ribbon.  The rules for this award entail sharing five fabulous moments, as well as five likes and dislikes, then nominating five other bloggers for the award.

For someone who’s received as many award nominations as Kina has in such a short period of time, I think this was kind of a brilliant way to handle all the award posts.  That way, people aren’t always reading post after post after post about which award you’ve received.

And now, without further ado, the questions…
