It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Inside, anyway. Outside, most of the snow has melted and the temperature is hovering just north of freezing.

But inside, we’ve been decorating. And it looks purty.

A geek to the core, I reside in the midst of an Iowa cornfield with my husband and four children. When I'm not chasing the kids every which way but loose, you can find me penning fantastical tales of great heroism and twue wuv...and possibly procrastinating online.

I do like the end product of decorating but very often don’t go through the efforts any more as all our children have grown and gone…a lot of work just for us.

I usually limit my decorating to putting up the Christmas tree at home, which we always do with the kids. The little two are just getting big enough to help, and hopefully this year Thumper will leave all the ornaments alone. 🙂 We decorate a little more at work, which I usually enjoy, but this year I didn’t have quite as much fun as I have in years past. Hopefully that will be different next year. 🙂

We do decorations in Casa Roger, but unlike most of the people in our street we don’t begin about October as has become the norm over here.

I’m content to stick with the tree. All the outside ones look nice, but they also look like a lot of expensive work.
