Despite the heat and humidity, the flowers around our house have been flourishing. Check out these beauties!
I’m not completely sure what kind of flower they are, but we have three different shades of them growing around our house, and they populate the local ditches as well. They’re gorgeous, and every time I see them, it puts a smile on my face.

Suddenly they all died. The end. 
Something really nasty put a smile on my face today, and none of it was my fault.
After watching me paint the gas meter box outside my house with sticky black paint, Harley, the younger cat, then jumped up and fell asleep right on top. I wasn’t there when she woke but I suspect he was not a happy kitty.

He was even less happy after he tried to lick it off and eventually I had to hold him down whilst dabbing him with white spirit.

I’ll bet. We used to bathe our cat, Sassy, once a month. She hated it.
