Dear God, I think I’m going to die. I need a good long soak in a nice hot bath. And a nap. It should last a week or two. And perhaps a full-body massage. That ought to put me on the mend.

Painting a bedroom, or Dear God, I think I’m going to die

I’ve spent all weekend prepping and painting Tomcat’s bedroom. We’ve lived here three years now and we’ve painted Tadpole’s room and Cricket and Thumper’s room (they share), but we hadn’t done Tomcat’s. We haven’t painted our room yet, either, but it’s gonna wait a while longer yet. Anyway, his room is gonna rock when it’s done. Meanwhile, I forgot how much painting sucked. We ran out of paint, so while we’re waiting for the first coat to dry, Seymour took Tomcat and Tadpole to town to buy supplies and I put Cricket and Thumper down for naps. Time to relax!

That’s it! I’ve finished! Yes, that’s right, again, I’ve finally finished again. But this time I mean it. I just hit send on an email to someone who requested my full manuscript. So now I really am done. And now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go breathe into a brown paper bag for a bit and then maybe read a book. For fun!

I know, I’m such a party girl. 😛

Once again, I’m hunkered down, making revisions. Once again, I spy a light at the end of the tunnel. I know I’ve said this about a dozen times, but I’ve entered the homestretch and man, does it feel good!

So forgive the sparseness of my posts of late. I hope to be back to something approaching normal sometime soon. 🙂

I’m still busy revising like mad. I’ve only got some twenty pages left to revise. Something tells me they’ll be some of the hardest twenty pages to revise, right up there with the former Chapter Seven (I think it’s now Chapter Nine – either way, it was a bear to fix). And now that I’ve checked in, I must put the screaming one to sleep and get myself back to work. To the Writing Cave! 🙂
