Photo Friday: Seasons change

fallfieldSummer is a thing of the past, that’s for sure.  Though fall officially started nearly two weeks ago, it hasn’t yet felt truly fall-like outside.

That all changed this morning, when I awoke to wind gusts that were approaching 40 mph.  I know the saying is all about March coming in like a lion, but I think it’s true of October, too, especially today.

Anyway, the green fields of corn have been slowly turning to gold of late, and I must admit, the sight always quickens my blood.  I love fall. 🙂

I hope October’s been treating you right so far!  I can’t wait to see what the rest of the month will bring.  In the meantime, don’t forget to stop by Charnele’s blog to read all about the seasons (or lack thereof) in Jamaica!

My favorite season is Fall. I know Spring is nice, green, flowers start to bloom…

But Fall is magical. That first morning you walk out and feel the crisp, clean air. The leaves as they turn beautiful colors and fall from the trees. Raking them up in the yard. It takes me back years in time and it’s fun to just do something like that. There’s a feeling that Fall brings and I long it for it in the summer. That longing makes it all the sweeter when it arrives.

Hot chocolate, a fire in the fireplace, gathering with friends and family in the evening. I love Fall.

I’ve got a great view out my living room window at the moment – golden corn as far as the eye can see, and a sky partly full of clouds. It’s a beautiful day, even if it is a little breezy. The few trees we have don’t really turn colors, but I wish they did. There are some in town that are practically on fire, their colors are so bright. 🙂
