Since I’ve been moaning about the state of the snow round these parts, I figured a picture of it might be appropriate:

Believe it or not, this is the pretty snow. The ugly snow is completely black and fills the ditches along my commute. Yuck.
How’s winter treating you?

We haven’t had a ton of snow this year. After a foot of snow on Thanksgiving, we had a warm December. Right now, we’ve got about three inches of snow on the ground covered in a thick sheet of ice from the freezing rain we got on Sunday. It’s cold, but sunny today.

It’s been in the thirties for a while now, which has melted all the snow we got a couple weeks ago. But even that wasn’t all that much – five inches tops, maybe. It’s been so warm here that yesterday I went out without my coat, and the grass is starting to turn green. Again. I think this is the third time this winter I’ve seen grass turning green.
