I celebrated by working a 12 hour shift in dispatch, but no holiday is perfect …

Yeesh! Hopefully it wasn’t terribly busy. We celebrated by going to see family and trying to save our hearing – apparently Independence likes to set off cannons at somewhat regular intervals, and we were only a couple of blocks away from said cannon. The first time it went off, my shirt vibrated.

One of my busier shifts ever, actually, but that’s the way it goes on holidays! But at least I was getting calls about cannons, instead of hearing them myself.
