This apple beauty was my reward for freezing God only knows how many quarts of corn. It’s upwards of 90, but the exact amount is uncertain because we ran out of bags. There’s still a boatload left to freeze, but we’re also out of freezer space.
Apple pie has never tasted so good.

It was. It really, really was. And this time the crust had flavor, unlike the last time I made a pie crust from scratch. Of course, at least the last time I tried it, it more or less resembled pie crust, as opposed to the first time I tried it, when it just looked like a glob of Crisco with flour on it. *sigh*
But this pie? This pie tastes every bit as good as it looks. I can’t wait for my lunch break so I can have another slice. 🙂

Torture was watching the clock count down to the time I was supposed to get up for work and knowing that I still hadn’t gone to bed. I think tonight I’ll put the kids to bed early so I can do the same! 😀

I hate it when that happens. I had a similar night last week and had to use matchsticks at work. The fact I need a great deal of processing power made things a bit tricky! You’ll probably be face down in your pillow the moment your children go to sleep. Get some rest – and enjoy the pie 🙂

I’m sure I will be. When we finally got to bed this morning, it certainly didn’t take long for me to start sawing logs, which was a welcome change from the norm. 🙂
