We went to another Panther football game yesterday, and it was a lot of fun. We tailgated in the afternoon before the game, we played a couple games of bean bag toss, and generally had a great time.
Of course, the real reason I go to football games (other than to hang out with great friends) is for the band. Back in high school, I went to home games because I was in the band. Now that my marching band days are well behind me, I go simply to enjoy the pregame and halftime performances. Once a band geek, always a band geek. 🙂

I’ve never been to an American football game – that’s what we call it over here cos what you call soccer we call football! 🙂
A band sounds fun! What instrument did you play? I used to play the flute, though I wasn’t in a band. I was in the orchestra for a while but that’s not quite the same thing lol.

I never understood why they call it football when their feet hardly ever touch the ball and they spend more time throwing the ball or running with it. But then I’m no expert on the game, either. 🙂
I played flute, too – I still have both the one I learned to play on as well as the one that replaced it in high school. I auditioned for an orchestra in college, but didn’t get in. I’d love to learn piano someday, and violin, but I’m not sure that’ll happen (the violin, I mean – piano will probably happen in a few more years). We have school bands that start in fifth grade (around age 10), and that’s when I started. Some schools have orchestras, too, but ours didn’t. I don’t play as much as I’d like, but then there are only so many hours in the day, and something’s gotta give…I still love it, though. 🙂
