It was a wild Wednesday. Most Wednesdays are, but between weather and kids’ activities, today was more wild than most.
So because it’s late (again), and because I’m tired (as usual), a meme (or two) is all I’ve got.

I love both of those memes so much.
My stepdad used the “uphill both ways in the snow” thing all the time when I was a kid. Now as an adult I know that he grew up in Saskatchewan, and Saskatchewan is flat AF!!! Although they do get a lot of snow.

So did my dad. He grew up in North Central Iowa, which does have hills, but nothing like the one in the meme. Northeast Iowa might, but Iowa in general is pretty flat, and we don’t get nearly as much snow as we used to when I was growing up. Now it seems like all we get is ice. 😞

I don’t think I’ve ever told my kids that this is what it was like for me growing up. I did, however, tell them that I’d have rather walked to school than driven. Not because I was embarrassed to be seen with my dad, but because the only vehicle we had was a lawn mower, and therefore walking was warmer! 😂😂😂
