It’s a wet and windy day today, so of course, the boys were up at the crack of dawn wanting to go outside and play. There’s a chill in the air, so all I wanted to do was stay snuggled up in bed. Luckily, I was able to reach a compromise – the boys came and snuggled in bed with me.
They watched cartoons, I worked on my story.
And for a while, everyone was happy. Then, of course, the begging for food began. Kids these days – they think they need to eat three times a day. 😛
How do you like to spend cold, wet mornings?

Kids! What are they thinking? Three meals a day? Ha. At least you did get some writing time in. It’s raining now and cool this morning where I live. I just put on a pot of tea or coffee and go to work pounding out words and hope they stick to the page of whatever manuscript I have up. Hope you stay dry and keep writing regardless of the weather!

Right? Crazy kids, anyway. 😀
It’s been rainy, windy, and cold here all day, and I don’t see it stopping any time soon. Good thing I don’t have to go to work – I can stay inside and write all day. 🙂 The tea idea is a fantastic one; when my two little spill experts go down for naps, I think I might make some myself.
I love to write in the rain (love to read in it, too, so long as my pages and I are separated from the rain by a solid window and a nice, cozy blanket). 🙂 I’m eagerly counting down the minute till naptime so I can get back to work. Hope you stay dry and get lots written today, too! Where do you live that it’s so damp and cool?

Nap time! One of my favorite times (because I’m the one asleep). 🙂
I live in the Ozark Mountains of Northwest Arkansas. Unusually cool this morning but I see the sun has peeked out this afternoon warming things up a bit but still windy. Chance of cooler temperatures and more rain through the weekend. Now, where’s that tea?

Same here! 🙂
Central Iowa had much the same sort of weather yesterday, though today’s supposed to be 80. Still wet, but at least the wind’s gone down. I think we’re supposed to be soggy through the weekend, too – so much for my garage sale plans tomorrow.

Ever notice it hasn’t rained for 3 million days so you plan an outdoor activity…then… 🙂

Yep! Trying to plan anything outside around the rain in the spring is always dangerous. Today (and yesterday, as a matter of fact) was supposed to be hot and rainy, but instead it was just hot and muggy. No rain yet, which is okay because I got some outside stuff done, but I don’t think my luck’s gonna hold out much longer.
