Here’s one of the flower shots I mentioned yesterday:

I spent a good half hour outside trying to get my flowers to sit still and behave for me before giving up and heading back inside. Of course the one night I have a few free minutes to play with my camera is the night the wind decides it needs to blow steadily at 20 mph (the gusts were stronger than that). I took a bunch of pictures, but this one turned out the best.

That’s a beautiful picture, Kay. Are you getting any rain up that way? I’m kinda drowning here.

  They’ve had enough to close down streets a couple hours south of us, but I’m not sure how much we’ve had. We sure had a bunch of it on vacation, though – evidently where we were they only get 16 inches a year and they’d had eight in the last month. Talk about timing.

    well over 9 inches just this past week. lots of localized flooding, a bunch of campgrounds around the lakes closed, but I’m high and dry.

      Holy cow! That’s a lot of rain. I don’t think we got that much here, but we’ve certainly had our share. It rained off and on yesterday and when it did, it just poured. So far this morning it’s been nice, which I’m happy about because Seymour wanted to go fishing with Miss Tadpole for Father’s Day and they’ve been out all morning. 🙂

        Thanks! No writing yet, but hopefully I can get some done this evening after the kids are in bed. 🙂
        
        As for the mighty fishermen, they had more success than expected, though not enough success to feed us all supper tonight.

        Sadly, the writing didn’t get done tonight. Luckily, I go back to work tomorrow, and I’ll have a whole hour to write during lunch. 😀
