So, here we are again…

…Yep, that’s right, I’m back in black.  Piano Black, that is.  I loved the Bouquet theme I’d been using, but I didn’t love the way it made images in my sidebar so big.  I spent last night playing around with themes, unable to find one that truly made me happy (Chateau?  Pilcrow?  Maybe Vertigo?).  So now I’m back to Piano Black, but I wanted something lighter.  Trouble is, without purchasing a CSS upgrade that I would be sorely confused by, there’s no way to change the font color and the background I picked for use here that actually looked really nice with the black transparent overlay was just too light for the font to be truly readable. *sigh*  Back to the drawing board…

I may continue to play around with this for some time.  Apologies in advance if something you liked disappears for a bit.

I like the theme you have right now. I know what you mean about WordPress. It’s more professional looking than Blogger, but not nearly as customizable. I’ve switched the theme on my WordPress site a million times, but never seem to be satisfied. The important thing is the content, and since I love reading your posts, that must mean you’re doing something right!

Aw, thank you! I’m glad you enjoy it! 🙂

I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve switched designs here over the years. Most of the time when I find myself dissatisfied with my site’s appearance, a new background or different widget arrangement fixes the problem. I really like this theme, but I’m ready to really mix it up a bit. I guess you just can’t have it all sometimes.

I haven’t used Blogger in years, so I’m not overly familiar with its ins and outs anymore. I thought it was great when I was just getting into blogging, but then I heard about WordPress and the switch for me was a simple one. I’m quite happy to have WordPress as my blogging home, but I find myself wishing more and more that they offered more customization options for free or cheap, preferably ones that you only have to pay for once.

Hope you didn’t stay up as late as me trying to decide which theme to go with! I settled with comet (I think :D) because I could use my background on there. I could never get my blogger page to look like i wanted it to either. All i need now is to think up some content!
